I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview Maame De-Heer to learn five random facts about herself, and what's a goal she hopes to accomplish this month. Check out my interview with Maame below:
Loryn: What's a goal you hope to accomplish this month?
Maame: The goal I aim to achieve this month is to set time aside to give back to my community and also people who have reached out for support.
Loryn: What inspired you to help job seekers?
Maame: I have faced first hand the challenges in job-seeking, therefore I deemed it beneficial to also lend that support to others, considering now that I have learnt some of the tactics that would enable others through this strenuous process.
Loryn: What advice do you have for those who have been bullied?
Maame: Being bullied is a reflection of the character of the perpetrator. It shows that the perpetrator lacks morals and values, and are incapable of treating others fairly.
Loryn: What have you've learned about yourself during this pandemic?
Maame: During this pandemic I have learnt that as an individual you are capable of doing anything once you set your mind to it. During this pandemic, as we were all instructed to stay indoors, we realized that most things have to be done by our own since we werent allowed to meet in person. This taught us to be independent, learn new things and master skills on our own.
Loryn: What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
Maame: I think people would be surprised to know that I have a fear of public speaking. Although I enjoy public speaking, it could quite nerve wrecking and it takes extensive preparation for me to speak amongst a crowd.
