I recently had the opportunity to exclusively interview TikTok Expert and Entertainer Parker Pannell about ten random facts about himself, what inspired him to start his TikTok . Plus what the coolest thing he is currently working on. Check out my interview with Parker below:
Loryn: What fascinated you about TikTok, verse other social media platform ?
Parker: Tik Tok is a short-form video platform, which makes it so much easier to produce consistent content. Staying consistent is one of the biggest necessities of an influencer because platforms are more likely to promote your videos if you are posting every day.
Loryn: What is a lesson you've learned from hosting your own event?
Parker:By hosting my own event, I realized how prepared you have to be for any and everything.
Loryn: What advice would you get those whom are interested in joining TikTok?
Parker: In order to grow on Tik Tok, I think the key is to find a niche and stick with it. I know this can be cliche to say, but it is true. Hyper nice your content down to the tee. The more original the better.
Loryn: What inspired you to become an actor?
Parker: Initially, I thought acting was for girls! I was always known as the athlete in my school, and when I told my 6th-grade class that I was gonna be in the school play called "Peter Pan"--- They were all very shocked, to say the least. It was such a great experience though and at first, I hated every minute of it. From the memorizing of lines to blocking out scenes, it was miserable. But, when we had our first show and I got to perform in front of a packed crowd... I knew this is what I want to do.
Loryn: What's the challenging part about going to school and maintaining a career?
Parker:Going to school and maintaining a career is so difficult. I always have to make it a priority to get at least 3 hours of online school done a day. Although it seems effortless, It is a tremendous amount of effort. Especially having early morning meetings, it can sometimes mess up my school schedule.
Loryn: What's the biggest risk you've ever taken?
Parker: The biggest risk I have taken. Hmmm. Moving to LA. I had to up route my normal 14-year-old boy lifestyle in Lexington, Kentucky to pursue a career in the Entertainment Industry. I had no clue if it was going to work, and I still don't! But, I am taking steps in the right direction.
Loryn: What's a must SEE content video to watch?
Parker: I don't have one particular video that you HAVE to watch, but I myself love to stay strong in my Faith. I'm a Christian and there is so many distractions in Los Angeles, so I have begun watching Sermons. Getting a golden nugget every day is priceless. It helps me stay focused and grounded.
Loryn: What's the coolest project you are working on?
Parker:Currently, everything has been put on a halt because of the Coronavirus. But, I have plenty of things in the works. Somethings I have tried and failed but as Samuel Beckett says "Try Again, Fail Again, Fail Better'. Most of my current projects are disclosed, so, unfortunately, there is not much to share. I will say, I am producing content on my website www.parkersplayground.com -- I'm hosting my own show.
Loryn: What's something not many people know about you?
Parker: One thing people may not know about me, I used to be an all-around athlete. I used to be a swimmer and diver. I could do a front double and a back double! I would compete those at most of my meets. Oh, and I wore a speedo.
